This is a very special and personal piece for me. My Uncle Harry loved the beauty of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, especially in Alaska. For many years Uncle Harry took carving classes from Georg Keilhofer in Frankenmuth to hone his craft in carving the animals he loved.

Our Customer's Challenge

A car collector from downstate Michigan brought us a 1948 Nash Suburban Woodie.  The car had spent about 20 years in a junkyard before it was rescued and restoration work began. Our customer purchased the car from the person that had started the restoration and had installed new wood. The customer asked us to complete all of the fitting, blending, finishing, and final assembly of the wood pieces on the car.

Our Customer's Challenge

A customer that collects and deals in old collectable Brunswick - Balke - Collander billiard tables had acquired a 10' Brunswick Hudson table that had seen better days. The six legs were destroyed by water, a number of trim and inlay pieces were missing, and there was a significant amount of loose veneer on many of the pieces. Though 10' billiard tables are not very popular due to the large size, the owner wanted to save it despite the poor condition.

Our Customer's Challenge

A customer living along Lake Huron is a nautical collector. He brought us a wooden scale model stern hull section of a Great Lakes freighter that was over six feet tall for restoration. Before there were computers to handle design calculations in creating a product, all design work was done with slide rulers and scale models to test the item. In this case, the entire ship hull would have been hydro dynamically tested in a huge water basin to check its design qualities. While there were design reference markings on the customer’s hull, unfortunately there was no indication of the ship builder or freighter’s name. The customer wanted it made into a usable shelf unit for his home to display other nautical items.

Our Customer's Challenge

A local customer restores and collects collectable cars. He contacted us to perform fabrication and restoration work on his 1929 Duesenberg limousine. While we had worked for on interior woodwork of other automobiles previously, this was a much more unique and challenging project.
